http://sites.google.com/site/venomousdangerous/snakes/most-venomous-sea-snakes for more information - as I said, in 10 years in the GCC I've only seen one so you're unlikely to come into viewing distance with one, but they are poisonous.

They are not all poisonous and they are very rare in Qatari waters, so sit back and dont give wrong information or spread your imaginations.

Tend to be aggressive from February to April and do move inland when breeding.

They are extremely poisonous but have very small heads.

If you try to push them away with fingers spread, they can get you inbetween the fingers.

If you have to, it's better to offer them a fist, as then they are then unable (having small heads) to bite your hand.

There are sea snakes here, I have only seen 1 in 10 years. They are very poisonous. Avoid them even if they are washed up on the beach. Because they live in water their skeletal structure does not support them out of water but they are not necessarily dead when you see them out of water.

Yeah, when you see one and it sees you, it's very dangerous. You might get a heart attack.

Seasnakes in Qatar's waters are indeed dangerous. Avoid them.
