feeling rotten!

Hi,just browsing through QL whilst feeling really rotten! I've picked up a cold/flu like bug and it's making me feel awful,aching all over,dreadful persistant cough and sore throat/headache.I don't want it any more!Don't know where I got it from...anyone else got it?

30 ml brandy + 30 ml warm water+ one table spoon b/pepper

pwder + a good 6 hours sleep = you will be back to normal. Gud luck

You whine about the smallest of things while having sufficient resources to get off your butt and get some medication, contrary to a few people (I chose not to call them laborers as these are the people that build Doha and Qatar) who after a day of backbreaking labor go back to their shoddy labor camps that do not have sufficient water and electricity and a single stinking toilet that would make the sewer seem like a 5 star hotel.

Yet you whine. How spoilt this life in Qatar Makes us!

My husband and daughter have been sniffing and coughing since yesterday. I hope,Inshallah, I don't catch it cos when I do I can get it real bad and then some! Hope a speedy recovery for all you ill people..get lots of rest and drink plenty of water =)

I got flu before eid it was miserable!

My mum gave me a good tip:

Heat the contents of a can of ginger beer/ale and then add a lemsip.

It really gives you fast pain relief :)

I've taken Panadol and eating lots of oranges,drinking plenty of water. Icemaiden..thanks for PM....will whisky do instead as no brandy?!

Nomerci...I've taken Panadol which helps for a short while.Drinking lots of water and eating oranges...peeled by a very caring hubby!!!

Ex.ex...couldn't have gone to work today if my life depended on it,even had to cancel my kettlebell clients...couldn't do a work out like this!

you people need to take some meds...painkillers for fever and general pain, nose spray and cough syrup. will not cure you, but certainly make you feel better.

this morning and had to miss work, which is a rarity for me. I could feel it coming on since Sunday when everybody at work was sniffling and coughing too.

MJ....cough was so bad last night hat I slept in another room so that my poor hubby could get some sleep as he was up early.I don' think I slept a wink!
