I wont buy it!!!...
that has been apple policy. All the iphone4's sold in the GUlf will not have facetime. if it is there, it will be wiped out once you do the next OS update.

My iPhone was loaded with iOS 4.0.1 it had facetime in it after upgrade to 4.1 facetime erased from my iPhone. I purchased my iPhone in Vodafone qatar for 3359QR 32 GB IPHONE 4.
If any updates on when Facetime will be re-enabled please update here.
very disappointed because it worked first and also the vodafone brochures in stores mentioned about FACETIME. I wanted to speak with my family and friends but now I can't. Truly disappointed at least if Vodafone would have cautioned it would have been helpful about this issue.

its not necessary, if you will buy unit with sim even though you can use another sim also, you have just only click to change the network.

so if we buy only the unit we can use any network sim other than vodafone?

well its cheaper than even buying from uk apple store. Hence the commotion.
i dont think (as of the moment) we can buy just the unit of iPhone 4 from Vodafone Qatar. it comes with flexi 220 and saving 295 QR from iPhone 4 16GB for 2,850 QR and iPhone 4 32GB for 3,359 QR SRP (Standard Retail Price).
it's unlocked to use with any sim cards that you have. but it's not jailbroken and they don't jailbreak iPhones.
Its really weird that you dont know by now ,,
they have been advertising it for weeks
here is why its better to buy it from vodafone:
Its cheaper 2850 for 16GB and 3350 for 32Gb which is about 500QR less than other retailers
it is factory unlocked : use any SIM card u want
if u r on freedom package you get 220QR credits and 300MB internet
