Visa for Indians

Hi All,

2 weeks back I got an offer letter from an ad agency. I signed and sent back to them. The offer letter says that I've to join with them as soon as possible. Last week they sent me an e-mail saying my visa is under process and also its Ramadan time so the working hours are bit shorten so it takes a bit time more to get the visa. I'm happy with it.

The question is - one of my friend said that its very difficult to get a work visa for Indians in Qatar. Is it true?

Please reply me

Thanks & regards

Business visa is expensive and it really is meant for business purpose.

I hear that it is true

thats why companies recruite Sri Lankans, Philipinos and western.

The coutnry as a whole has a quota for all nationalities again it stem down to each company. I mean each company has its own quota for nationalties as per the profession, say India Accountants, Sri Lankan Accoutants etc.

The labour dept or immigration dept maintains this quota

It applies even when you apply for family visa (wife, childrend)

As such, plan your move WHEN AND ONLY you obtain the WORK VISA. DONT do anything based on BUSINESS visa.

Indians are not mandatory to run this country. For whatever reasons, there seems to be some controls on visas for some Nationalities. India is one of them I beleive.

You don't have to be panic as this is not the end of the world.

If you got an offer letter, please wait for the next communication. Don't listen to your friend.

Most companies in private sector are struggling to get Indian work visas but they can still get you here on Business visa.

Bit it doen't mean that, no Indians came to Qatar during this period.

Worrying about something will not change it. So don't worry.

Welcome onboard. God bless you.

its not true. there is a process for every company to follow for visas so if a company follows that process visa retrival is normal. dont worry
