I am basically a mechanical engineer and my post in my company is procurement engineer, but i have been told that my company can only provide technician visa for the time being. Will this in any way hamper my plans of bringing my family on family visit visa or later family visa. I have joined this company only in june 2010 and my salary is above the 7000 mark required for family status. please advise me on the same....

I have got my technician work permit but haven't gone through the medical or fingerprinting. In the interim, has the rule changed that technician visa holders cant bring their family on family visa?? Now in that case, my PRO is advising me to bring them on family visit visa? I need to put my daughter to school next academic year. Will family visit visa pose a threat to my daughter's schooling? Also, this technician visa is from my company's sister concern. My company doesn't have any Indian visas. They have now informed me that after I finish my medical, not to do the fingerprinting process and then they will try to apply and change the visa to my company visa. (Is my question too much confusing??)...Will this changing process take too much time??

Please advice....
