I am staying in Dubai i have a car of my friend and i want to travel to Qatar by road. Can I able to travel? If yes what are the formalities? Please let me know.

Can i travel by a rental car??

Though I am yet to move to Qatar but understand from my friends out there that you can travel by road but Saudi Transit Viza u need to purchase from Saudi Embassy in Doha before starting. For UAE u will get the Viza on Arrival at the Border itself.

Taking Commercial car is always asking for more routine stoppages and check ups by Police at each check post.

YES YOU CAN TRAVEL WITH A RENTAL CAR AND YOUR OWN CAR,, BUT WITH THE RENTAL CAR THERE WILL BE MORE CHECKING ON THE CAR AS WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM AND HOW MUCH U PAID FOR IT ECT... U MAY NEED A UAE VISA ALONG WITH AN SAUDI VISA.. LAST TIME I WENT WAS 2 YEARS AGO SO MAYBE RULES HAVE CHANGED
