How can remove banned after 2 years

Please need your help , i left Qatar on December 2007 with normal exit stamp but not return again to Qatar and residence visa expire on May 2008 , now i got chance with good company they apply to get visa for me but they reply you still under banned while 2 years from expirey date already passed.
any one know reason why banned still on system and how can solve this problem

You can come with a work visa ... no bann for you
