Driving down to Dubai

Hey friends,

Am planning to drive down to Dubai for a small vacation with my wife. Can somebody tell me what preparations i need to do before i start, like Saudi road permit, dubai on arrival visa, any permit for my car & those kinda stuffs???

The link that u provided for Expat Guide is very helpful. Just concerned how old the PDF file is, since The On Arrival for Dubai was close to 200 bucks the last time I went couple of months back.. Otherwise all look good.

itz almost 234 kmz frm qatar dnt worry it will only take 3 to 4 hours if u gt nice ride :) chill n best ov luck

You need Sauid Transit via, and if you are not one of the nationality/profession to be granted visa on arrival then you need UAE visa too.

This is what you need for visa. You have to have the right papers for the car. Also check below a guide for expats driving to Dubai..:)
