My bad experience with Future Medical Center
My 12- months old baby had a very high fever, 40 C. It was saturday evening. I run to the closest hospital to my home, which is Future Medical Center. When I arrived the clock showed 8.48 pm. The closing time is 9.00 pm. The doctor ( Ms. Regina) refused to check my sick faint child because it was too late!
The reception staff is dumb and unfriendly to the point that one can read in their eyes " I wish you all die motherfuckers ".
So I took my child to the Pediatrics emergency in Al Rayyan, luckily there was not many people, and got qualified medical help.
Please share your knowledge and experience about Pediatricians in Doha.
Where can I find a good doctor for my child? Thank you.
I totally agree...the same exact thing happened today with my 2 year old son...Their attitude is despicable ..I was in shock. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE!
Dr. Basha in Aster (previously Al Rafa Clinic) is one of the best Pediatrician in Doha. But getting an appointment with him is a pain...
In emergency cases, it is always better to take childrem to the peadiatric emergency in Al Sadd. Btw, they don't take burn injuries. For burns u need to go to HMC.
I agree with seanjacob. You have to take this matter to the management of that clinic or proper authorities. What they did is not acceptable at all and must be rectify!
I do work in clinic before but our practice is not like that, still we do serve our patient even it's 1min. before our time end. It's a matter of life and death we are dealing here....
Somebody should report this to the administration!!!!
Dear umm Tamim....
In Doha there are special child care section in Al Sadd area just opposite Lacigale Hotel. Dont ask anyone just close your eyes and take your kids there whenever they fall in sick.....caz...I have also this kind of experience in a pvt clinic...really some of them are usless. My best option to anyone is simply take to Child care (HMC) section exactly in the corner of signal of Lacigale in Al Saad...you feel million times better than other clinics here...Really they are well experienced Doctors and they care much...
If your baby runs a high fever - treat it as an emergency. Call 999 or take the baby to the ER yourself immediately. Don't bother taking the child to an outpatient clinic. They are not equipped to handle emergencies.
