My wife and I just moved to Doha. I am an Indian citizen and she is an American citizen. She is getting a lot of job offers but she cannot accept any of them because she does not have the proper visa to work here. I will have my residence permit in a couple weeks. Once I get my visa how long will it take to sponsor my wife under me?

cruzer, call your wife on FAMILY VISA then which is extendable for a period of upto 1+5=6months..By that time, you will be completing your 6 months too(for bank statement)and can apply for your wife's RP at the same time..

If your wife is pregnant and nearing her D-DAY, better don't call her..She needs someone to be around her for her proper care..I mean the ELDERS should be around to take care of her and the new born..Let her complete the delivery back to your home country and call her after that..

New born can enter DOHA within 90 days from the date of his/her born..A baby will get the visa on arrival..Make sure your wife carries BIRTH CERTIFICATE to apply for your baby's visa at later stage..

Once you get the RP from you company in a weeks timing, you can apply for the residency of your wife..She can work only if she gets the valid RESIDENCY PERMIT in DOHA...

It will take approx.1 month to get everything done for her..

You have to fill a form with relevant documents like : approval letter from work, bank statement of salary for the last six months (for non-government employees),marriage certificates attested from your embassy, passport photos of yourself, your spouse..Your wife has to go for the medicals and finger printing procedure as well..

Kindly wait for other QLers to reply you if i've missed out any thing...thnx

She can accept a job offer and go on company sponsorship instead of yours.
