we r living in uae
my husband has an offer in qatar that almost equal to his salary here but with some benefits like children education about 15000 per year from grades 1 to 6
does it deserve to move to qatar?
N.B:housing here is expensive as qatar
In case your priority is only money you are most welcome to Qatar. I was in Dubai, UAE and moved to Qatar 6 months back. I regret doing so. If you wish to be miserable, live a life with no colors, no people and fun around and a place where it seems curfew is imposed 80% of the day, then you can be happy here. Else please don't ruin your life. Doha, Qatar may change a bit after 10 years may be not now.
And please don't even consider to compare UAE and Qatar. UAE is far ahead. This is still a desert.
I have been to both places. And dats my honest opinion. Thanks!
I stayed in qatar (1 yr)then moved to UAE (4 yrs) again back to qatar (6 months).
Qatar has a peace of mind that UAE misses, like thye have salik, they have crazy traffic, they have malls but too expensive, they have restaurants but too expensive, they have entertainment but expensive.
UAE is good for tourism or if you have some hi fi business but for salaried class qatar is good.
but in your case as you are not getting more money you should stay back in uae (just my suggestion?) as if you come to qatar you cant switch jobs with an ease you can switch in uae.
Others have already given you the suggestions on the SALARY aspect, i would just say that i too had stayed in DUBAI for long..But i would prefer QATAR over UAE again and again..There are many reasons for it which can't be covered up here...
I feel saving aspect is comparatively higher in QATAR than in UAE..
Kindly use the search button at the top right side of the QL screen to give you a brief idea about the LIVING STANDARD and COST OF LIVING in DOHA...thanks
UAE any time , Qatar is way behind in terms of entertainment on weekends with family and places to go around . It is expensive too in Qatar than UAE , the prices just keep going up like hot air balloons .
UAE any time -go for it , not worth for 15,000 difference to choose Qatar .
Having lived in UAE for 5 years before coming to Qatar where in completed another 6 years, interms of quality of living would still prefer UAE than Qatar. Qatar is backward in lot of areas and its going to take ages for them to be in par with UAE. The cost of living in Qatar is more as compared to UAE considering the fall in rentals in UAE. Also bear in mind the school fees here are much higher than UAE. So leave it to you to decide.
Offcourse Move to Qatar as qatar is growing more as compare to all Gulf..and even less cost of living as compare to Dubai...by all means even Dubai UAE is not safe now for jobs..Now its your decision..!!
Shifting for 15000QAR more per annum....I would say not worth the move. Shift only if the reason is better reputed company with better career prospects.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
