tons of offers and features & what if you are not able to make a phone call with your mobile phone? btw, if it's get connected, it will just hang up in the middle of the conversation even if it's international! as an added conveneince i just got, 6 automatic recharges from my credit card and zero credit balance! without making a single call! and still not able to make a phone call. that's what they call FREEDOM ON FLEXI.which means, it's their freedom to use your credit card or money.the so called customer care champs/chimps doesn't know what the vodafone business is into. so here i am,6 recharges+internet package=dead phone service. simply another reason to buy the best multimedia phone. thank you vodafone.

question, did anyone else experience similar problems?

ever since i am in qatar, i am using qtel (prepaid). no problems yet. no connectivity issues, no automatic line drops,no signal problems and excellent clarity. never, never, never called customer care to report a problem! only times i called qtel was on 180! if the qtel call charges were a bit lower and better internet packages, a big NO/never for vodafone.

999 I have had problems with Vodafone in the past, but in fairness they did sort all of my problems out in the end. It was not frustration free, but we got there in the end.

However Qtel leave a horrible bitter taste in my mouth. I lost a lot of money (Around QR 600) and in the end just gave up and dumped them. I found Vodafone staff in store and on the phone genuinely helpful, where as I wanted to go mad on Qtel staff (which I didn't because I knew it wouldn't get me anywhere). And I would rather go to the dentist than visit a Qtel showroom ever again.

further to what i experienced from vodafone,it is extended as a never ending story again. i just lost 25 qr credit on 24/10/2010 and 62 riyals (result of double automatic recharge) on 27/10/2010. it just disappeared! i was also awaiting a 50 qr refund because of an oversmart customer care champion for giving me an unwanted/unrequested service just two months back(14 days promise, another joke!). and as a gift, i got recharged TWICE today morning 01/11/2010 8.37am and 11.39 am and "ZERO" 000000credit. can you please enlighten me were the hell this money is going to? i cant make a phone call since today morning. oh, it's just because i dont have credit:P where did my free minutes of 15+ hours i accumulated through recharges went to? please dont help me by another reload to be able to use your wonderful world of difference service. which means, fix whatever has gone wrong so far and let know. And dont offer me another reach nowhere investigation to kill my time. btw, your customer care champion i called last time was busy with her colleagus cracking jokes and having fun. or did i call google office by mistake?

so it's either better or worse. Unless you compare them with other non-telecom companies!

well began is half done! they are simply lost in this part of the world. their expertise in telecom industry is simply the worst in here. may be because of the poor management and resources they got here. btw, i'm not favouring the monopoly. qtel is also full of surprises in the form of hidden charges (as i experienced). to conclude, i hate mobile networksss in qatar! vodafone gave me the most screwed up service i ever had! i am going to give up vodafone. thnx again for showing the world of difference vodfone!

qtel isn't too bad anymore, back in the day they were useless whereas now they actually get the job done when you need a service, at least that has been my experience with them.

and is part of the "youth culture" being promoted by qatar foundation. What do you expect? At least QTEL has some experienced people working for them at the management levels. I'll stick with them, and I cant believe I am saying this! lol

VODAFONE was automatically deducting from my credit card. I asked them twice to shift it to RED but in vain.

Finally I had to (almost) shout on them.

And yes, the service is horrendous.

I completely agree with you. Their customer services is so disconnected with real business. They are completely isolated. They even ask you to tell them what is your balance now .. like they cannot get this information from their own system. They even cannot communicate with their second line of support. All they can do is send them a message/email that's all and wait them to update the system and if they dont, they will send another message.

Crap

there is always a shadow with a brightening object. vodafone = brightening object and net work problem =shadow.

Yes there seems to be sort of network problem but also that you are not charged for it if you are with its schemes and offers.

Vodafone has made cheap and easy for most of the midium nad lower categories of people here in qatar.

but yes ofcourse to be outstanding vodafone definitely has to take actions in making better network.
