Is there anyone who would be interested in forming a group of people interested in cooking/dining/socializing to meet once or twice a month, taking it in turns to host? Let me know!

Hi everyone, Its been a while I have been in this site, Since a lot has changed and a lot of Different mixtures of people arise here. It nice to get a cooking and dining group, That would be a perfect event for us to get to know one another and share informations regarding Qatar and the best way to live here. I do advise if so may schedule after the Holy Month of Ramadan, which is I should say a full month after 10th August.I do hope it pushes through, and Ill check here as well to keep in touch.

Great to have so much enthusiasm so soon! Please keep watching the site. I am away until the middle of August, but have lots of ideas as to how we could work this. I will plan a get together for all those interested towards the end of August and we can decide how to proceed.

Anyone has specific questions, please ask and I will answer the best I can. Will be checking the site regularly

Hey Minoush...

My husband and I are also moving to Qatar at the end of August. We are from Texas. I hope that your family is as excited as we are to make the move...we think it will be an awesome adventure. We can't wait to try all the different foods and shop at the open markets. There is a great book on Qatar that we got from Amazon that has been enlightening and helpful. The book is called "Qatar: The complete residents' guide". You should check it out, there is tons of great information. And of course QL is very helpful too. I have found the members to be friendly and eager to assist the newbies...LOL.

Congratulations on your relocation!

I'm moving to Doha in September with my family and would love to meet new people. I like to cook and learning new dishes. I'm from Florida and moving to Doha with my husband and two daughters.

I will keep watching this thread to get in touch with you when I get there!

Thanks!

I'm not a great cook but I'm interested! I'll try to keep up with the thread until we're all back in Doha then (I'll be back early August).
