SMS/MMS PROBLEM IN IPHONE 3GS

I just bought an iphone 3gs. I can't read my sms/mms in my iphone. there's a message from qtel that says: "QTEL: Sorry, your phone is not capable of accepting settings at this time."

Any help is well-appreciated.

N.B. I can browse and read my emails. I can receive and make calls. Only the problem is the sms/mms.
