Is it the company who decides to renew the contract or the employee?
Is it base on your performance?
What can you say about the renewal of contract in the education sector in Qatar?
Do they retain their teachers or freely send them back home?
What can you advice for a teacher who's contract is almost at end especially when he is employed in a Qatari owned schools.

My understanding is that Qataris prefer UK/US teachers for English, but when it comes to salaries they prefer the cheaper non-US/UK teachers.
My understanding is that good teachers can have their contracts extended or renewed regardless of their country of origin.
The thing is that Qataris prefer UK/US teachers, so for teachers not of these countries, is there a possibility that their contract will be extended?

The company will decide neither they will renew and extend your contract or not.
Most of the schools here renew further their teachers’ contract automatically...if you have doubts, ask your head or coordinator...

if the company is good, pray for an extension of contract! If the company is bad, pray for an immediate repatriation!
BTW opinions are neither good nor bad, they are just opinions and as a teacher I would expect you to know that....
A renewal of contract can depend on many things, one which could be performance. Others could be cost, overall business strategy and legal and immigration requirements of qatar.
Qatar needs more teachers not less, so unless you have done something bad you should be ok
