QP Position and Compensation

Hi All,

I am a SAP consultant and applying for a SAP Analyst position. Just had an Technical Interview with QP and passed the interview they mentioned that we will forward their recommendation as a positive to invite me over to Doha.

Now I am confused and nervous as I don't know the following:

What is the Salary Range for SAP Analyst?

Is there any future growth in terms of promotion to be a Manager or Senior staff?

If you get a contract for 1 year or 2. Does QP extend the contracts?

Can you please help me with these questions. Also I am married and have two kids. So is there anything that I need to consider.

How much do you think QP will pay for an SAP Analyst position if you are based out USA and US citizen?

Thanks for letting me know and I appreciate all of your help. One quick question I have for either one of you. Does the title of a SAP analyst reveal that this is a permanent position. I am assuming it is because if that was not the case then this position would have the title SAP Consultant. Please comment - Thnx

QP has a set salary structure and they will slot you into what they consider best regarding your experience.

In terms of career, well, coming to the Middle East will be like dead end. ost peole come here for the financial benefit. Once they make enough they leave. Promotions are generally reserved for the local population.

Depending on their need, QP does extend contracts. But at the same time people have been asked to leave without much of a notice. So be very prepared. I am not trying to deflate you, just making ou aware.

I do not know much about QP, but once you have your offer you can repost with the details, and we can comment on whether or not it is a good one.

Things you need consider in the offer beyond salary if you are planning to bring your family with you--school fees and places for your children (expensive and not always easy to secure in the best schools), private health coverage (the state system is OK but overstretched), housing (either provided or an allowance that will allow you to secure your own decent place), cars are expensive here. If you are not offered these perks as separate items, you need to make sure your salary is high enough to allow for them.

Also if you do a search on QL, there are loads of threads on costs of decent housing, schools, etc.

Good luck.

Not in QP but i am working in its sister company in the same field. However, I am here as a consultant and not as a direct staff. For what I have heard, you will have to maneouver through a lot of politics for the middle to senior management roles. Regarding salary, I guess it would depend upon experience and grade but there are a few interesting discussions on this subject here. Try to do a search. All the best.
