Spain advance suffering to the semifinals

When the referee blew the final whistle yesterday, I think the Spanish nation must have been happier for the relief of nerves rather than the victory itself!

What a difficult and odd match, and how hard can you work and suffer to get a victory for this Spanish side that resembles nothing the side that won the Euro-Cup two years ago, although almost all the players are the same!

And it has been going on like this for nearly all the matches that Spain have played so far.

But yesterday's match had all elements of a heart attack.
Two missed penalties, a clear penalty not given to Spain, a legal goal for Paraguay judged as off-side and a goal-ball that went into the net after three times consecutively hitting the posts!

The worst thing of the night was the referee and his assistants.

The best thing? Well I guess it is the true fact that the gap between soccer teams in world is narrowing with time... better for the game.

The only standing fact for Spain is that David Villa has scored 5 of Spain's 6 goals so far and has proved to be the most valuable player in this world cup until this very moment.

The most exciting fact is that Germany Vs Spain will be a great match to watch if both team stick to their strategies.

Anybody who plays with 10 defenders can easily defeat Germany!...provided they are practicing the penalty.

the Germans even have the benefit of using the new ball in their league games before hand.

The Paraguayans were good in defence and they held the mid-field as well, not to mention their threat in the counterattack.

I am pretty sure Germany have taken down the weaknesses of the Spanish players and will establish technics to turn it to their favour.

Seeing the way the Spanish played last night,i can guess the Germans will make quick work of them on wednesday.
