FIFA has got eggs on it face today.

Two shocking decisions today. One against England and now one against MExico.
ITs crazy. DEstroys the interest in the game completely.

The Swiss gnome. He's the main one stopping technology despite the fact that he claims otherwise.

There must be no chance of him making money (yet) from the technology.

Interestingly (ref Wiki) he has had other more interesting jobs one of which was as president of the World Society of Friends of Suspenders, an organisation which tried to stop women replacing suspender belts with pantyhose.

Anyone having studied his past record must realise he's a scoundrel.

Interesting 1992 article in the NY Times about the corruption in FIFA.

The Guido Tognoni mentioned was Operations Director (for a short spell) of the Doha Asian Games. Seemed a nice bloke.

A real poor show of umpiring/decisions through out the tournament. I hope Fifa do something real fast to fix such incidents to happen again.

Anyways yesterday both Germany & Argentina were supper loved watching both the games.

same thing happened on 1966 world cup final.. same team german and england.. same type of shot by jeff hast which didn't cross the line but refree gave it a goal and england won... now it is just a vice versa.... tit for tat....

FIFA is a JOKE...how can anybody watch a match after this!!!

Had England got that goal the result could have been different...the pressure would have been on Germany to score leaving gaps in their defence ....allowing England to score.

But after that the pressure was completely on England through out the match to score....thus Germany was able to score the 3rd and 4th Goals so easily...

Personally I felt the England Goalkeeper was not as good as the Germany Goalkeeper. He could have easily avoided the 3rd goal!

Let's be honest here, mountain, molehill. It's not as if these were game deciding goals. Both Germany and Argentina won by at least two clear goals.

with the amount of money they make they can implement a sensor system for the shoes/ball that would cover all offside, goal line monitoring, outs etc

Referees should only be there for fouls

very weird why FiFA is doing this.

Blatter has to go. He's run his course and is a crook anyway.

He appears to be the main stumbling block to introducing technology.

Both Germany and Argentina deserved to win but there have been a nhumber of clangers dropped by officials not only in these matches but in other matches too.

As far as the decisions by the Referees and linesmen are concerned, this world cup is crap!!!!! If they cannot flag an offside and acknowledge a well made goal, the men in black shorts are absolute waste of space!!!!! No worries, the crowd will "handle them" nicely and FIFA will revisit their referral system.......

Atleast they shouldn't be showing it on the big screen. The officials now know they have made a blunder and huge pressure on them.

the advantage goes for the favorites. See how David VIlla excaped censure even though he had committed a serious foul. The goal by Brazil.

they should show it, then whats the use of technology. They need to know that they have made a mistake.

The worst thing is the showing of the replay on the big screens. This puts extra pressure on the officials..

FIFA needs to copy American Football and introduce video technology and "challenges".
