A Sad Story

A boyfriend gave a challenge to girlfriend to live one full day without him. No communications at all and he promised her that if sh did it, he will be loving her forever. Since his Gf was totally in love with him and she wanted him to love her forever she agreed, she did not call or even text him for the whole day. (But she did not have any clue that her boyfriend has got cancer and had only 24 hours to live), the next day she woke up very early and excitedly ran to her boyfriend's house, and god tears falling of her eyes as she saw the love of her life lying in the coffin with a note on the side

"You did it baby, can you do it everyday?"

I Love you

Frugaluga, I saw my older brother die a few years ago at the age of 27 then. I nursed him for over 3 years. Cancer is not laughing matter. Thats why I was a bit pissed that the author of this thread choose to copy and paste a topic which he has no understanding of.

By KHATTAK• 2 Jun 2010 22:33

Sorry for your loss too man, did not mean to awaken all the sad memories with this thread m8, and all our dead are in much better place now

By Frugaluga• 2 Jun 2010 22:31
Frugaluga

the suprising thing i learnt from that experience was how devastating the disease really is... my father was operated on and told that he would be fine --- 6 days later he died and weighed half of what he did when alive... so again im sorry for the slack comments i made...

By ghazalz• 2 Jun 2010 22:28

why she was not given a chance to meet him alive for the last time...sad :'(

That's kind of weird Fruga, I was the one joking around on this thread with you and I lost my dad to cancer too and the pain he was in for the last 6 months of his life was the worst pain I ever saw.

By Frugaluga• 2 Jun 2010 22:28

thank you, and sorry for the comments made that seemed to offend. This was not my intention..

for those who think the thread has been disrespected, i am speaking from personel experience of nursing my father for his last few days before dying of cancer... and in no way was he able to talk never mind make such a well judged statement.. no offence meant by the way..was just not believed by some i guess.

Oh you cynical QLers.. Why can't you sense the message of the story. Sacrifice by a MAN so that his loved one may roam free....

I hope he is in heaven now smiling down on his beloved...

By anonymous• 2 Jun 2010 22:10

its far beyond reality, why people do believe such things could happen in real... its none but a dramatic story...

Even if she cant do it, what can he do now...maybe he will find his whoppie goldberg...if i were to die tomorrow then today i will make her the queen and be a king myself :)..even if for a day...but seriously guy did some lateral thinking and its quite touching.

Sadly, a sad post has been turned into a joke.

That girl was a complete idiot if she never knew that the boy was terminally ill. How can anyone ever predict death....24hrs left, just ridiculous.

By GodFather.• 2 Jun 2010 21:56
GodFather.

WK you absolutely right. it would have been different if he had a heart disease and deceased suddenly.

By GodFather.• 2 Jun 2010 21:55

Well it's a sad and moving tale but cancer patients do give some sign of death and they don't remain hale and hearty till their last day and then just drop dead at the exact time given by the doctor. She would have seen the frailities.

That being said, I apologise for my insensitivity.

By Frugaluga• 2 Jun 2010 21:52
