spl says that he wants to study futher and is really worried abt his career and future. ( he is 20, has completed his 12th std and grammatically, his written english is very bad.) so my point of view is that he is an under/below average student...... i doubt that he will do any better ( not that i am against further education ) otherwise there are, now, so many colleges here in qatar and since his father is having a business, definitely they can afford it.

this issue here is not simple as it seems... ( dal mein kuch kala hai ) translation... theres something fishy

I dont think any parent who can afford to have their family here would force their kid to stop his studies and work as a security. I simply dont believe your story spl.

Your problem is something else, which you hid conveniently to find a solution to clear the obstacles and flee to india.

I believe the legal age for emancipation in India is 21 for men, the same as the age for marriage. If it is 18, then you can approach the Indian Embassy and lodge an official complaint to reclaim your passport, and they may be able to intervene to help you obtain an exit permit as well.

Wouldn't it be simpler to just join whatever job they want you to join, change your sponsorship over to that job and then go back to India? It's not difficult to get a job in call center, true. But how are you going to manage your accommodation and food expenses till you get it?

Do not jump into a decision, that you will end up regretting later.

But my parents not understanding..they are thinking narrowly..they just thinking themself..not abt my life...

I love my parents...but now I must go..I speak my parents...but they take it as an issue..they think that I want to walk the way which they showing..But wat abt my life????

I dont have Problms in India. I can work in India like call center or somewhere...mena time I can work also...

Here in Qatar, my parents want me for their work..They dont want me to send for any study. They are telling me to join here in a company as a security. I dont like that. I have lot of ambitions and expectations abt my life and futre.. I am not ready to spoil it here.

Many are told me that there is a signature(father) required to go to India.

Now I am planning to go out of my home. I will not go to home.SO they will give Police complaint. If police catch me, I will tell my problmes..

Then they will send me jail???????

Or they will help me to go to India. Anyhow I cant stay here. Peoples can tell abt many things. But actually the problm no one can understand. I know they are my parents.. But for me main is my future...

So please tell me how can i arrange my exit permit and my passport.. I just wanted to know that only..

Male Children over the age of 18 require an exit permit if sponsored by their family. When you obtain the age of 21, you will be the legal owner of your passport. Till then legally, your parents are on right side.

You do not need to take any drastic measures. Listen to your parents and do whatever they want and if you feel it's not right for you, you can always do what you want when you reach the age of 21. Besides, if you go back to India, what will you do?

By anonymous• 11 May 2010 09:00

May be they can convince your parents, how will you look after yourself without their help if you are back home.

education is not free in India, you still need their financial support.

hhrod... no need for exit permit, but Passport is with his parents

Spl...no they will send you to jail for running away from sponsor.

Did you ever thought why your parents gave you food, shelter and basic education and took care of you for 20 long yrs??

By Rizks• 11 May 2010 08:51
Rizks

spl dont be a FooL !!

goddamnit they are ur parents. Why do u have to create a big scence and put ur parents in trouble ? :(

as hhrods said watever is the issue speak to ur parents and explain ur problems coz any parents will not think something bad for their childrens and their future.

well to tell you the fact... i smell something fishy here on both the sides and also conclude that you have'nt provided some core relevant information.... no parents will force such things on thier child, unless they foresee bad things.

other info you asked... there is no need for an exit permit for children on father's sponsorship.

my advice to you...

whatever issue there is, solve it peacefully, they are your parents and will never want anything bad to happen to you.

Actually, legal age for men would be 21 by Indian Standards I believe. Approach the Indian Embassy nevertheless, they might be able to help you out.

The only way is to talk to your parents and reach to a mutually agreeable solution. Or talk to your uncles/aunt/grandparents someone who you are close to you...and let them convince your parents. At this age you cant to do much ... this is not US or Canada where kids have more freedom. Maybe they have their own reasons for not letting you live alone in your home country.

You have can study here also many Indian universities are having distance education program for bachelors degree. Tell them you are not keen to work this early.
