I have seen this shop & I think it is the best aquarium shop in Qatar. He has very good collection of fishes. His marine collection is very good. Rates are slightly high but not too high if compared to this region.

Thanks for the advice. I still havent started my hobby. I have carried fishes and plants in my luggage from Srilanka to Delhi flight but I dont have any experince of bringing them to Qatar. I'm not famillier with the law. next month I'm going to India will try to carry them.

I don't remember being asked by "customs" whether or not we are bringing live plants. They'll x-ray your luggage for pork and alcohol, but I don't really think that they'll care about the aquatic plants. You might want to check with a local aquarium store to see what they have to say.

If you are able to bring the plants in your carryon then I would try to do so. Just wrap them in damp newspaper and then put them in plastic bags - you'll risk overheating or very cool temps if you put them in your luggage.

I'm so, so jealous of your aquarium. . .wish I still had time to pursue that hobby!

try this store, aqua art on salwa road, opp KFC... it's the BEST aquarium store i have come across thus far in Doha.
