Hit and Run case.

A group of celebrating youngsters was zooming off near City Centre. Someone just hit our car and zoomed off.. We couldn't even understand who had hit us becasue this whole group of about 10 landcruisers was speeding off the road.. The car has been majorly damaged. I do have full insurance, however, there's no mistake on our part. We went to the police station and they told us to come next week. Does anyone has such experience, could you advise, what you did in a similar situation?

This depends on ur insurance company. Where have you been hit? There are clauses that deal with cases of Hit and Run where the other party is unidentified, you may not be eligible to receive full compensation.

The police will see where you were hit and will then issue a chit which will describe what happened and where your car got hit, you need to submit this to the insurance company for your claims.

i feel sorry for you. from my experience when my car was scratched in a parking lot, the cops are of no use. they made me come in week after week and wanted me to do their work.

i hope things work out well with your insurance co.

If you have the car's number no need to worry just go to the madinah khalifa muroor police station as they deal with such 'hit and run' cases. They will call the car's owner and you can say your demand what you want to the police and even then if the owner doesnt accept his mistake you can file a case against him...
