Which EBOOK reader to buy
To all the techies out there - which ebook reader should i buy. I have tons of pdfs which i love to read in the night - i'm beginning to hate my laptop for reading.
Don't want the ipad as that does not serve my purpose for only reading pdfs.I'm shortlisted the Sony Reader Touch and the Nook by B & N. The nook has wi-fi plus an adaptor which cost extra with the Sony.My colleague has the kindle but he's told me for pdf's the Sony should be better. Online reviews do raise issues we encounter in the middle east – no warranty and no B & N stores either!!
What say you?
I use kindle and convert all pdf documents into readable format using the free Mobipocket Creator or Calibre softwares.
It work fine especially if the pdf is mostly texts with minimal diagrams.
Wi-fi would always be good. One - because i can download books directly. Second - i have a habit of going online to research anything. If there is no wifi my BB might get used a bit.
Kindle good but that that good for pdf's therefore shot it down.
Nooky is cheaper than the Sony - plus it comes loaded
with sony you will always be stuck with acccesories of sony..making it costly..try to check some others as well..
I've heard of better reviews for the Sony Reader, rather than the nook. If wi-fi is compulsory feature for you, the wi-fi capable sony reader costs around 100$'s more than the nook, and you can get the nook to save the cash. Otherwise, I would recommend the sony reader.
The amazon kindle seems to be sleek and fit for reading ebooks..
