Change from husband surname to wife’s fathers surname
Hi,
can any Indian guide me in this process
My wife came to Doha with my surname as in her passport and visa but now she wants to change her name to her Fathers surname. Has anyone gone through this process before please advice me what should be done I am worried about her visa status.

you will have to apply to the embassy. pt an ad in local newspaper here and two papers in India, show these to the officials......
PEOPLE CHANGE THEIR NAME FROM FATHER TO HUSBAND FOR EASY PROCESSING OF VISA.
ANYWAYS, BEST IS TO APPROACH YOUR EMBASSY TO FIND OUT THE PROCESS AND IMPLICATIONS.

Jokes apart, even i was wishing to change my baby's name from her passport,but on hearing that its a lengthy and expensive procedure to change the name after visa and passports r done,i had dropped the idea..Contact INDIAN EMBASSY if u've really made up ur mind to change ur wife's surname to her maiden name..
she is eligible for european passport through her father thats why
