Hi!

Does anybody know of a day care center for my 18-month old baby that is near Markiya Area? I've heard a lot of day care centers near the area but haven't found one that is open up to 6pm. Please help!

Both Mary Poppins nursery and Petit Pas are open till 6 pm. Both are excellent as regards to location, quality care, and hygiene. And both are located just opposite each other. Mary Poppins has little more flexibility regarding timings (more options)and charges accordingly. Petit Pas has the option of providing on site food for the child (so you do not have to provide the food box for your kid). So it's pretty much a tie.

Try Petits Pas as well - they have a lovely nursery near the Qatar Sports Club.

Try Smart Baby Care at the back of Town Center in Bin Omran. It's not that far from Markhiya. here's their number: 488 0123. mobile number of the owner: 525 2330.

You might try the Mary Poppins Nursery. A friend of mine takes her daughter there and she works fulltime, so it's possible that they are open that long. . .worth a shot anyway.

There is Sarvodya ( at the next roundabout from markhia going towards al rayah driving school). But i found it very crowded. There are two-three near landmark roundaout as well. check and see which suits you.

never heard day care centre as such that open till 6pm. Your options is putting your child to nursery or get the domestic helper to look after your child at home.
