I've been in Qatar before and I had a lot friends, when I left home I missed them all but I'm looking now to find my best one
She was from Iraq and her name is Alawan, that's all I can remember
I will be grateful if someone could find her , I really do love Qatar and all my memories there

My simple answer is that you have have not really been a friend in the true sense or else there is no way you loose track of your friend or it may be , she did not value you as much as you valued her. It is strange that both of you loose track of each other yet you claim you care for each other. may be she is avoiding you who knows? hahahahah

through friend of friend, where did she live, work go to school, go shopping and so on even her hairdresser could be a good starting point to locate her

try to get more info even picture, her parents name, family name, sister names, doctor or dentist she went to

there are 10000 possibilities you can start, be creative
