Less First Class for Qatar

If you've ever dreamed of being upgraded to first class, this is not good news for you. Qatar Airways is dropping first class from some of the new airplanes it is ordering (business week).

Guess there is always business...

this was talked about last year, because they never sold enought 1st class seats.

Every time i flew , i never saw anyone in 1st class.

Business class is enough. Although they could do with giving better service in economy and increasing the number of attendants to serve economy( there are more serving business than economy despite E class being several times larger than B class

Its simble...there are fewer 1st class passengers...

Upgrading means just that...there were fewer passengers in 1st and more in 2nd ...so upgraded.

Tagazoo that must be during Vacation Period - December!

travelled with BA(business class), PIA(Economy), Gulf Air & Qatar

Qatar is definitely the best. The economy was better than BA hence whyBA are in such a state

QA service is THIRD class anyways, don't see why they should have anything First Class on their plane.

I thought I heard Akbar on a business program saying that in time all Qatar Airways flights will be just two class - economy and business. First is being dropped altogether eventually. Their vision, as I understand it, is to offer a business class that rivals first on other airlines, and also to offer chartered jets for the 'real' first class passengers.

No, it will be a combined business/first.

Worth for recession. Hope they upgrade the facilities for both business and economy.
