Hello everyone! ... I need some advise on my son's education. We have recently moved here and my 3 year old got accepted in DBMS but I also got a assessment date for him from DESS in april ... now I am confuse if I should accept the place in DMBS or shall I wait for him to give the test in DESS??? , Another concern is that if I don't admit him in DMBS and then later he doesn't get in DESS either then what will I do? , Is DESS worth waiting for? , is it a really good school?. I would really appreciate some advise on this matter as I know there are a lot of parents here on QL who know about schools in Qatar a lot better than I do .

Thanks.
Nz

DMBS is a long way away if you live near DESS. I would strongly ask you to reconsider as the commute would be quite taxing on a small child. Most people try to live close to work and/ or schools because Doha's traffic is horrendous.

I would wait for DESS. Your child is only 3; perhaps you could place him/ her in a nursery while you wait for for DESS' answer.

Thanks for your reply .. i live close by to DESS , so location is not an issue. And Yes DBMS has begun the admission process , I am not sure how long it goes on for but they have started it for sure :) . I appreciate your feedback people.

Firstly, whereabouts do you live? That would be one of the major factors which school to enrol your child in.

My child is in DESS. She was on their waitlist for a while but it was worth it. We love it! DMBS is fine if you have no other options. DESS has a great reputation and needless to say, it is the best school in Doha.
