help regarding my resignation

I went to the labor department today (2 March 2010), unfortunately I was not entertained because the officer cannot speak English.

I would like to file a complain againts my employer, I filed my resignation last January but until now I was barred from leaving. My contract is of indefinite period.

Please I need your advice. Or if there's anyone there who could speak Arabic who is kind enough to help, I will accept it. I know I cannot repay you for you help but God will.

Yeah, a friend of mine also advised me the same. My worry is that if I continue then I have to submit again resignation and wait for another month in this rate I will be stuck here forever :0(

So then why worry they will still have to keep paying you for the days that you are under their contract..just stay at home and get the salary :P

Good Fortune always comes knocking at your door...when you are sh*tting in the toilet!! :)

They said that they need to look for a replacement before they can let me go. The problem is my notice period has passed and there is no definite date was given to me.

What is the motivation that is driving them to barred you from leaving? Bank loans, Indebtness to others?
