I ve got job in a reputed concern in Qatar and I am in the process of finishing up the joining formalities. One of them is to get Clearance from CID Dept in Qatar; I had to submit my Original Arabic translated version of my highest degree cert. After successfully getting clearance from CID, they refuse to return the Original Arabic translated cert. But the company would need that. My Company's PRO approached the CID dept to get it back, but they refused to give it back it seems. I need to submit this cert in Labour Dept to get Work permit.
I am not sure about the rules here. Can I claim my Original Arabic translated cert from CID or Do I need to translate the cert in Arabic once again? Can anybody throw light here. This is v urgent. Pls help.
If I get it translated again, I need to run to 3 seperate departments to get it attested, which will take lots of time.

translation to be attested from the concern authorities. Which I agree is not an easy job to do, also unnecessary waste of time and money.

If theres leeway than make a few translated certified true copies of the original translated. Afterall its only a translation of the original certificate

in CID. I am sure he will help you out. Carry your original degree and Copy of the attested Arabic translation (if you have one) and request him to replace the Original Translation with the copy after verification.

The officers are very helpful in CID.

It is the translated version which is with CID. There is no problem in makin another translated version, except that it needs to be attested by embassy, foriegn affairs ministry and chamber of commerce, which will take much time.... So I thought if they could return it, it would be easier.

Is it your Original certificate or its translation that iw with CID?

If its a translation make another copy of it. They dont keep original certificates with them anyway. other than attested copies of it at the most.

just go and get a new translated degree.

CID will not give you the Arabic translation degree because it is a requirement. Since you have the Original degree with you so no issue.
