If you are not happy?

Ms. Lonely

What will you do if you are no longer happy in your life with your husband or wife? Everything is miserable. Every fight ends to physical fighting. If you want to go away but you cannot do because all the legal papers including passport was kept by him or her and no money to spend. You have no work at all.

Your passport actually belongs to your government not you.

So your embassy will give you a new passport and what he is doing by with holding it is illegal. anywhere.

the domestic violence is illegal.

go to your embassy. please before things get even worse.

It's not good for you to be in a violent relationship, but it's even worse for your children to be exposed to it. For their sake, and yours you should speak to your embassy. I know domestic violence isn't probably something they would generally help with, but they can help by issuing you a new passport because you no longer have one. Once you have that, you can book your one way flight away from here and be safe with your family back in the Phillipines.

(For Him/her)

Never give up hopes, the situation might be changed.../

Keep yourself busy, be happy, avoid arguments and wait with patience till your next visit back home...then DO whatever you want in your relatives' presence.

I am not sure....do embassies get involved in domestic disputes. Why not get in touch with your family back home, and through them find a way to get back. Atleast for the tickets.

How much ever you love your husband, once he raises his hand against you, its over. Not only will it destroy you, it will also set a bad example to your growing kids of how a relationship should be. In all marriages there will be fights, but physical abuse must not be tolerated. Once that line is crossed, its time to walk out the door.

First try to solve this problem peacefully, talk with him, see who is wrong,,give time to each other...dont argument,, Relationship is very hard to build but can be break in seconds,,,and this very sensitive relationship so please think, talk with your hubby,,make him understand your situation, try to understand him,,,i am sure things will be change but if still the problem is there than you can contact with police or your embassy,,,but my advice that first talk with your hubby and then take any decision..good luck

I know that's why I want to go away from him. If only I could. I have no means. For this time I will call the Embassy to seek for legal advice on how to go back to Phils even without passport. And now I also learn to earn my own money so that in times like this I have my way to go.

my friends collegue had a similar experience she went to the police and it helped her move out with her kids..but in your case as you are not working maybe they can help you leave the country.

Going back to my home country is impossible because he doesn't want to give my passport back. He doesn't want me to go. Damn...!!! Sometimes it comes to my mind that I don't want to wake up anymore but when I think of my children, I feel so lost because I have nothing to do to make our life better. Any legal advice on how to go back to my home country even without passport???

Ask your folks to give him/her a call and tell that you have some emergency back home, like someone is seriously ill or something. Then go home and get a legal help.

You need to get out. Especially if its leading to physical abuse.

Plan to go away on vacation to your home country and then leave him/her.
