Why is Qtel such a third world company??

Why is Qtel so bad???

I need to move house, therefore my Mosaic TV package, phone and internet too. So I rang Qtel, waited over one hour for an operator, and was told I'd need to go to an office.......... what???? Anyway I went to the office in the Lulu centre on the D-ring.

After waiting for over one and a half hours (there was only one guy working in the early evening!) I was told Mosaic is not available at the new house, so I'd have to bring my decoder, remote control and wireless modem to the shop, cancel my exisiting line, then apply for a new line......maybe 2 weeks to connect, even though there is a line already there!

Then I find out I need to pay for breach of my existing Mosaic package, which runs out in June! Oh, and then pay a reconnection fee too.

THEN I discover......... Mosaic TV includes ADSL internet, price 250QR per month.......... an inferior package, NO TV, just internet, starts at 200 per month!!! So I have to remove Qtel's equipment from my current house, and pay for the privilege, and then pay for re-connection to an inferior service, for a greater monthly fee. Any answers on that one please Qtel??

Oh, and can someone please explain to me why the Qtel shop has one Indian guy to look after over 50 customers (I was number 236 and saw someone take number 290 from the machine) and there were two Qataris (managers?)sitting chatting on their mobiles, not doing anything useful at all?

Qtel is by far the most inefficient company I've yet had to deal with in Doha, they treat their customers with contempt because as yet there is no competition. Let's hope Vodafone can shake these idiots up and they start providing a 21st century service.

I guess you could only blame yourself for this, you should have chosen less crowded place instead, places like Wakra, Umm Said, Al Khor or Shamal are the best places to be served within minutes. The Mosiac TV QR 250 includes only the basic tv channels and it is mainly the DSL and landline you pay QR 220
