Kindly advice child delivery in Hamad or in Doha Clinic

Can somebody advice me? I had my first delivery in Hamad last 2006 but it was a very bad experience. They've given me 8 times injection to induce and I'm asking them to go on CS delivery because I'm very tired already but they did not listen. Now I have an insurance card and presently consulting a private doctor in doha clinic. But I am afraid that my insurance cannot cover all the expenses in private. Do you think it still better in Hamad Hospital to have delivery?

Can you please share your experience, now that you delivered in Hamad Hospital.

Hi,

We both in the same "cruise ship" ;) I am about to open my file in Hamad (which they said took one month to get the appointment).

But in my case, I need emergency treatment at very early pregnancy, our ob/gyn (she's a private doc) recommend to go Women hospital and asked for Dr. Arobo (he's good doc).

Wish you luck :)

you're welcome kabayan!

Don't be anxious about the doctor that will handle you. As my experience, I just went there last December for the follow up check. They told me that they are now building a medical team per patient. Meaning, that you will be seen by the same doctor until your delivery. Just tell them your concern about it.

For the meantime, just enjoy your pregnancy!

chillax!!!

If your private health allows you to use the facility in Al-Ahli, you will get extra care. Hamad hospital is also good as per my experiance and it is cheap and after delivery service is excellent in HMC. they dont give pain relief injection, my wife suffer pain almost half of the day.

Kabayan, I would advise if you have a Health Card go to Women's Hospital. I gave birth there last October. My friend told me that their service is not as good before. They will charge you only 100QR/day (normal or CS) during your stay in hospital.

good luck!

kabayan, if you have Health card I advised you to go to Women's Hospital (also under Hamad but for pregnant women only). They only charge you 100QR/day (normal or CS delivery) including all laboratory exam,etc..during your stay in hospital. Usually, normal delivery only stay maximum of 3 days and 5 days for CS.As long as the doctor ordered that you can go home.

I just gave birth last October... I have a good experience with them. My friend told me that their service now is better than before.

good luck!
