Moving to a Compound

Hello everyone! I need good advice! My wife and I have been living in Qatar in a small villa since April. Now we decided to move to a compound. But I don't have any idea how to choose a good one. I don't want to go and pay money to a special renting agency just to find out what I could get myself. The rental payments are said to see a good decrease this winter, so I hope to find sth not very expensive. My only conditions are the rent should not be more than 15000$ and I appreciate English/Arabic speaking neighbours. Then come a gym and a pool. The rest are not very important.

It only reminds me of the Jedi's opponents in Star Wars and I don't even know what da hell is that word 'fake' French people use in letters and memos around here.

Thanks all for very useful comments. Hope everybody laughed well! I really wrote $ by mistake, it wasn't for purpose. But at the same time it would be more friendly to share one's experience instead of posting sharp thoughts ... really

It's easily done if that's the symbol you're used to using - I use the £ sign all the time by mistake.

I want to flag this post. It is really offensive to me, People are willingly paying somewhere around 53,000 QR (15,000 $) for only the rent and here I am slogging away for peanuts.

Snessy my emotions got out of control after reading the figure ;)

You are willing to pay 15,000 Dollars as rent per month and are saving money on rental agencies?
