problem with my toshiba laptop
Dear QLs,
a very warm new year wishes to all QLs.
Help required !!!!
I am using a Toshiba satellite which is around 4 years old. off late it is giving me lots of humming sounds as if the fan inside or the hard disk is spinning furiousl and after a while the whole system shut downs. The thing is really going off my head. Does anybody have the slightest idea how to recover my system or could anybody direct me to any of the best repairmen in town.
regards
Vinith
thanks siyan, Net dealer, dennic and mandar....i'll check that out and see whether the fan or the thermal grease needs a replacement. that was an overwhelming response to my question.thanks a million once again!!!
By the way rb73, I know 4 years for a lap top is a long way, I own two more brand new toshiba, but I love my old one since it has got some value and i love to work on it.And i sincerly think i asked a technical question for which i needed a technical answer. anyways thanks.
4 years is the average life of notebook computers my friend, it is probably the time to change.
Do not start the machine at all... As this will burn up your processor...
It seems that the fan over the processor is not working hence it is over heating and then your system goes off...
Try to change the fan at the earliest.....
i think u should change the fan as soon as possible to avoid any damage to ur processor. try to contact REDINGTON the authorized service centre for Toshiba

Good Morning Vinith, the laptop cooling system is not working at all, it shuts down after the cpu reachs high temper can nt handle, i do nt know who can help you and fix it, but try to find who is the exclusive dealer of toshiba for sure they have people experinced in recovering the normal situation of your laptop. Using ur laptop for while might do serious damages in the motherboard.
As for the humming sound it might be the venilation of the exhaust is blocked...try to clean all the exhaust with some blower machine...good luck
