those are traditional nose pins.most of them are like part of the family jewels.some indian communities require brides to wear them on their wedding day.we don't wear that type on a daily basis.

actually my mom gave in only then.i wanted to do it much before!the doctor who pierced my nose was kinda reluctant seeing my little turned up nose :-P then we had to fib that i'm already 13 before she finally gave up and pierced it for me :-) personally i think a single sparkling diamond on the nose is kinda attractive and stylish :-)

phoenix2009....it's all a part of tradition,dude.i had my nose pierced when i was all of 11 years old :-) in days of yore,for womenfolk,it was a mark of belonging to a particular community by having the nose pierced and adorning it with a sparkling diamond.even which side is pierced was important.we had to have it pierced on our left side :-) but i love it.my husband tells me that my nosepin was the first thing he noticed on my face.he thinks it's very attractive ;-) he he!
