man i want some info on graphics card-please-

hi you all on qatarliving ...i wanna tell you that i changed my 7300gt with 9500gt but cant se a much performance increase ........can you tell me why.....actually my system specs are
p4ht
512 mb ram
160gb hdd
9500gt gpu
etc
dont know about mother board as it is hp and its a costom mother board from msi

please give me a advise that is affordable and reasonable for me
