DOHA: The Ministry of Interior has urged the public to strictly follow the safety and security guidelines while visiting Corniche to watch the grand finale of Qatar National Day celebrations, to be held on December 18.

http://www.thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&sub...

The public must park their vehicles at the specially designated areas that include Sheraton Parking area, Qatar Club, Q-Post Parking space and the large open space behind Al Bidda Park.

Private vehicles must not cover their number plates and the vehicles with tinted glasses would not be allowed to enter into the restricted area.

Voicing opinion in a provocative manner recalls people's attention, such as yours FS and Arien, and who knows yeah those who can do something about it may indirectly or even directly read it here.

Dear friends don't be afraid and don't always please blindly, seldom compliant people go to far!

It’s a cultural trait but it can be trained ;)

FS,

Did you know that improvements result from complaints not from fear to talk, passive and apathic attitudes?

Nic do you ever got anything good to say about Qataris/Qatar Authorities??

They are learning....give them some time!!

By Nic• 15 Dec 2009 11:04
Nic

How about publishing in the local press, traffic diversion plans indicating the exact authorized parking locations?

A simple and crucial action to minimize the chaos!!!!

Not even this - no matter how many events they'll have - they are able to do!

Planning and organization skills, where are they in the Qatari authorities?

By tinted glasses I believe they don't mean the usual black shade but rather they mean its illegal to totally cover the glasses with pics or flags... cause half of qatar cars has black shades on windows!

What exactly is happening in the Corniche? All that preparation and no INFORMATION about the event and its detailed program!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess its really Qatari style celebrations: no one knows what exactly is and when but some will go and check it out. Expect the usual chaos!

Does any body know where to get the official information about the celebrations' program?
