Adam Jones - Mother in court again today

By harrybarracuda

Adam Jones, the ten-year old boy who was removed from his mother, by deception, by his late fathers' relatives, and was, by a Qatari court legally awarded to his 77-year old Grandmothers custody, a woman who hardly knows him and can barely communicate with him, is the subject of court action again today in Doha.

His uncle, who is clearly trying to wrest control of the assets his nephew stands to inherit, has refused him the right to see his mother, with whom he grew up and lives with here in Bahrain.

His friends, his school friends and his family are naturally distraught at this injustice, as are the whole community of families here in Bahrain.

I call upon all expatriates who read this to ask questions in your local newspaper and on blogs, news sites, etc. Discuss it with your Qatari friends and colleagues.

This is nothing short of kidnapping, and all we ask is that a Qatari judge ask Adam, in his native tongue, English, with whom he wants to live.

All we ask is fairness and justice.

Please fight for Adam's rights. Imagine if it were your own child!

all along. I tend to believe the bigger question is why did the uncle KIDNAP the boy? Much bigger sin in my eyes.

if the boy cannot communicate with his grandma what has been the mother been doing all this time.

Its a pity that she didnt take the initiative to teach him his dads language.

totally agree with the article, this is nothing other than kidnapping a young innocent child. Culture has nothing to do with this, the kidnappers are nothing more than uneducated barbarians. They are not taking the childs best interests or wishes into account. The grandmother can't even communicate with the child, just unbelievable!! This is another reason Qatar is just a JOKE as a country....
