Yes, the exposure of your camera is not set I think. You should think about it.....

but he is asking how to do a better job at photography and if one is serious about photgraphy it takes more than just a camera set on auto mode ..

Still he has an eye for photography and this is very important

with the camera ounted on tripod then on manual setting you can start trying F8 or 7.1 with iso 200 and set the exposure to 20 seconds

According to the result you get you may increase or decrease the exposure time but a tripod is a must

hope this help

mughal so the shot was taken on full automatic? If that was the case it's not a bad shot for fully auto. However you may want to pop back and try the same shot again on manual. If you are interested I will gladly meet you and run through some basics with you on location. As Mrs Bandit says I have shot this myself loads of times, but still have yet to take the one I am totally happy with. So a return trip would be no effort for me.

what equipment you were using, f/stop, shutter speed, iso, lense ..etc

You could get better results if you increased the exposure time, iso or used a wider appreture ..

ofcourse you need a tripod to achieve this .. is that what you did ?

I'll get Timebandit to log on later and comment on your photo mughal - he's a keen photographer too, and has taken quite a few photos of West Bay during the day and night.

yes its dark coz the location because there are not enough buildings to light up WEST BAY

.

Still alot of hardwork required by QATARI govt to compete with DUBAI. Europe/America is too far from their reach

.

Anyhow, nice pic. Its dark which is not your fault
