ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT DOPET COMPANY?

really a low salary offer.. but it is a good established company according to my brother in law..

8 hours, 6 days of work, open for overtime depending on the project..

hi everyone!.. i dopet just offer me 2,200 qar but subject for management approval.. i just want to ask if its really worth applying here in this company(DOPET) even if has a lot to offer like accommodation, food, and transpo, free ticket back and fort, medical coverage, 30 days paid vacation leave. please help me to decide. thanks

They are 100% Qatari owned. The management does have some Indian nationals . However, the senior management consists of Brits, South Africans, Iranian, and Qatari.

The company is Big and has offices in Salwa as well as Near the cornice in old Salata.

maybe that is why i was not hired in Dopet. because my asking salary is too high for them. argghh..

joe, it doesn't matter what his qualification... DOPET will not increase the offer....

but this is how it works...

they offer you Qr.1800/- if you tell them that you have your family here and you are paying for your accommodation. they will give you around Qr.300/-

you will work 6x a week and you have to work more than 8 hours a day because of the work load that your salary might reach up to 2500 per month. DOPET is a supplier/contractor company so mostly their work is out of Doha. If you will work on the site, your salary will reach around QR.3000 or more.

and you can convert your annual ticket into cash. DOPET have a fair management but the salary is low.

Well i have had people from this company working for me in my earlier assignment. The company has good name as a contractor and the facility as company it is good but the payment what they make to their technicians is not all that good . You are working as a technical clerk , you have not told your qualification, experience , your special skills etc and it is too difficult to judge the offer they made for you. I am sure if you are really qualified for that slot you must be paid at lest 2500 , accomodation and food or food allowance. Good luck . Remember you are a free bird now but once you get into any cage there ends your choice.

what does NOC mean? do you mean transferring to a new company while still under contract?

I been inteviewed also in Dopet very low salary offered but they are big company here is doha, there management is more in indian . . . they said to me no release (NOC)at all

i worked with DOPET before and it's a good company to start with but you're lucky if you get a release from that company after transferring your visa.

i knew DOPET...they really had a low offer:

basic salary

free breakfast and lunch

if u avail of company accomodation free dinner

u may have cash accom allowance, if u dont want to stay

free transport (even u leave out of accom)

if u deserve, they have increment yearly, of course after performance evaluation.

yearly ticket, 30 days vacation.

dopet might have a low salary offer but its a good company to work with

thanks for your comments.... im appreciate this advice for me..... i dont know what to do really.... still keeping your advice. even my family dont like it this offer.. coz honestley ive got a job here in qatar as it sales advisor as my basic salary is 2000 qar and 600 qar for accomodation 400qar for transport. plus commission 500 riyal. so all in all 3500 qar riyal. but still is not enough for me... coz i have two brother for helping them to finish ther studies in philippines... what i want in dopet is the job position? for me its a new challenging job again.....

As Technical Clerk 1800 QAR is fair enough if accomodation and food provided....Dopet is a Maintenance services company work as contractor for QP, RasGas, Qatar Gas....surely they will cut any expensable cost if possible..and surely no career for you there inparticular you not Indian...They hire many cheap worker from the street in India...we get many problem with this company especially during early start of the job or project..not perform...

Salary is not good if you intend to live in Doha..

Wht I mean by "Live" in doha is you are thinking and spending in Riyals...

If you are converting in INRs and know how much you sending home and if tht calculation is fine for you.... its your personal choice...

If basic necessities are taken care by company then it should be k.

But as far as I know.. DOPET (Doha Petroleum) has office in Industrial Area.. street number I don remember now..

The company seems ok.. but as mentioned by someone.. it is Indian Management.. more of Kerala and tamilians...

There are many smart ways of Cost Cutting they practice...

Accept the Visa if you would want to do this Job.. but try to bargain for keeping the option of getting a NOC .. IF you intent to change job in near future.... the company should allow you to do so.

Next time when you apply for Job... Never tell the exact value you are getting.. always double it :p...

So try to ask them for 4k... trus me it is decent even with Indian standards....

So even if you are going in Shait.. you wont mind :)
