Another QBS Bashing Thread

The others have got too long. So here is a fresh QBS bashing thread.
To me this is very simple. All QBS needs is some competition. That's it... job done. If they had to fight for their listeners, perhaps they would actually try and figure out what people want to hear. Oh and I have no problem with call to prayer or anything else that is regional.
In the UK I would have the radio on all day. I would love to do the same here. I can't because QBS is the only English speaking channel I can get, and most of the time I can't bear to listen to it.
Come on Qatar what about a little choice? Competition will sort things out in no time. And it's not like Qatar is strapped for frequencies, there is loads of room.

QBS is a good example .....of how a radio station should not be...lol

At least they should get into an agreement to broadcast the content from neighboring countries like Sat TV channels....that should be the easiest way.

The reach of the FM radio in Qatar is almost on par with the Sat TV channels because everybody has a car and most would listen to the available radio channel.

This reach of FM Radio is very much underestimated in Qatar. Also it would become a very good means to inform the people about various things, especially if it is done in different languages.

Thanks be to God I have found Al Jazeera in English on (is it?) 103.7. It's a little repetitive over the course of a day but it is intelligent and informative.

Hopefully, if there will ever be another English speaking channel, it'll be English speaking ONLY. As you said, I don't mind the prayer and anything else that "comes with the region", but why do they have to speak french for an hour or so every day. I'd think there'd be enough algerians here to make a French speaking channel....!!

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough...
