Visa on arrival at Dubai

I'm an Indian national residing in Doha since May 2nd 2009. I’m an engineer by profession and my resident permit is valid till 2nd May 2010. I have my family with me here in Qatar since 16th of August 2009 and they are under my sponsorship and their resident permit is valid till 16th Aug 2010.

I just want to know whether we can get a visa on arrival at Dubai. Somebody told me that all need to be resident of Qatar for a minimum of 6 months and some told that its 3 months . . . and some told only I need to complete 6 moths and my family don’t need cos they are under my sponsorship and they can travel with me. Which one is true . . . ?

If yes, what is the duration of the visa 14 days or 1 month?

Those who know about this please advice me

100 Dirhams was the previous charge for on arrival visa. You may double check both issues with the Embassy.

Hi . . . thanks to all for the valuable inputs.

I would like to clarify few things

Mr. cherukkan said that the validity is 14 days and the fee is 300 AED and Mr. Vkash said “The Charges are 100 AED per person, valid for one month.”

So kindly let me know which is the latest one. I’m planning to go on 24th of this month.

My visa is Engineer visa and my wife and my daughter is under my sponsorship.

Hi,

If your profession in your ID is Engineer you and your family will get visa on arrival in Dubai for 14 days and the charges has been increased to Dhs. 300/-. There is a form to be filled and it will be better if you can manage to get them before going. You should go to the eye test with the filled form and after that you go through the escalator to the immigration and before going to the counter purchase the electronic cards (fee for the visa - a must). You will get the visa stamped on the Passport and copy of the filled form (yellow one) will be given back to you which you should keep with you to show in the immigration (a must) while coming back.

Make sure that the profession in your Qatar ID Card is Engineer. This is a must to get visa on arrival in Dubai. Good luck.
