Beware of Wukood Service Station

Dear Friends,
i have a surprising experience with Wuqood Service Centre-Hilal. i went there for washing my car. I entered the car in to the autowash area. as usual i make my car in nutral gear and the water spraying started. After moving the car little bit, Suddenly it happened....!!!, my car moved fastly, and at the end, the Dryer(For drying the car, which is the last part of the autowash area)hits the front glass and roof of the car. the front glass and roof is totally broken. actually the problem was some Electrical/Mechanical problem for their rail. but the surprising thing is that, they didn't take any responsibility for this accident. they said, its written on the Bill that for all types of accident, the customer will be responsible, even though the car is driven by their service persons.
So i advice everybody , not go to Wuqood Service Station, especially for auto wash. and pls spread this information to your beloved, for the safety or your friends.

Dear Happy Happy

thnx for ur suggestions and comments. in service station, we cannot contact the owner. thr is only Forman or Supervisor etc. and they vl do nothing for us.... So only thing we can do is to take care of the people like them...

I'm just another worker in Doha, it's not impossible to get the owner's name, and call his office. (his cell # is out of the question). What's impossible is the despicable sweeping stereotyping made about a whole nation, whom most of us, expats, probably never had a chance or ever tried to communicate with any of them.

There is HEAVY injustice in Qatar, slavery in different forms does exist, it's not solely the injustice of Qatar's government, but the DUTY of our own governments and embassies to protect our rights, instead of selling their subjects cheap to any foreign country.

Bottom line, you should talk with the owner, azkhnas

all,

everywhere its written that any damage on your car due to autowash machine, management won't take any responsibilty for that...so request you to avoid auto car wash and I think normal car wash is good in Waqod.

Please listen to me carefully, I recommend calling the owner, get his name and phone number (not easy to obtain), or look for his office.

Don't listen to people freighting you of Qataris, they're not imps, they're people of flesh and blood, and many influential Qataris are just and fair (not all of course) I'm speaking only the truth. Just present your case well. Take photos of your car, gas station bill and police report as evidence.

I know of may mishaps have happened to people from different nationalities, they talked directly to the owner whom civilly and responsibly solved their respective issues in no time.

You have to try, you cannot just give up and make assumptions.

Will you try?

it happened around 9pm, then they called Traffic. but traffic police said that this case will not come in traffic dept and they called police from Capital Police Station. we went to Capital police station and discussed till next day midnight 1.30 AM!!!!. at last the conclusion was , the Wuqood will not take responsibility( they proved this by showing the back side of the Bill that they given to us. it was written that for any damage or accident, they will not take responsibility...!)

As somebody said, WE are not qatari so some rules will be like that.....!@!!!

This is indeed a serious matter and more serious when it comes to my beloved car’s care...

I chose not to use Waqood from now on...

But did you think of escalating the matter, meeting management or talking to the owner? This is a serious matter not to be taken lightly, it could have caused casualties.

Sad incident, but thanks for sharing...

I would never in my life go for such car wash again...

Thers one more thing that i noticed on Waqood Petrol stations, either you buy 90 octane petrol or 97 octane, they use the same pump machine and pipe...

In this case if somebody has taken 90 octane petrol before you, and you want to get your car filled with 97 octane, you would automatically get the remaining 90 octane petrol in the pipe (which is more than 4-5 liters)...

I've been to many gas stations, only a few of them had problems at Automatic Car Wash, their trail/belt sometimes stopped abruptly on its own, or moved faster than should. There is a written disclaimer in the bill and on the side wall of the car wash section, affirming the station is not responsible for any damage to you car while washed.

So sorry again.

Thanks Azkhnas for the tip.

They should start losing customers now!

they should know that a dissatisfied customer will cost them plenty.

They should take full responsibility for this so-called accident!
