Dogs/Puppies

Can anyway explain to me why there are so many people trying to sell Dogs/Puppies on this forum, at a very high price.

I would like to know why they got them in the first place if they do not intend to keep them.

The other question is where are they getting them from in the first place.

By the work some of them state they do, there is no way they could pay the sort of money they are now asking to buy the dog in the first place.

Sarahbun ...Well i go to Thailand often as my wife is Thai... and yes I am french and as i specified I'm not doing it for the money as I have 6 companies here and I'm willing to invite you to 1 of my restaurants.

The case of the Pomeranians was a special case as i bought them in the market in Bangkok for 2800 each, they were stuffed all 4 of them in a 60 cm cage and they were couple of weeks old puppies crying and full of ticks ... kept them until they were old enough to travel ... got them vaccines and micro chip and got them beds and leaches, toys, bones and travel document.. So i think its fair ...

It is now good to know that Doha Goverment are now doing something about the selling of Dogs and Cats, and the conditions of where they are kept and how they are looked after.

Good for you Doha Goverment it is about time something was done for the plight of these poor animals.

Hi Yanapa2,

Strange you bring puppies from Thailand, when you state you come from France, must go over to Thailand a lot on holiday.

What happened to the 1000 you normally charge for a puppy, you had one advertised a little while ago for

3,6000.

Their are some people here breeding puppies, I remember a Vet we used to have and he was into breed Dobermans as you could not bring them in the country! Alot of people want a dog as a pet other than a Saluki and they are not so easy to find. Also at by selling at 1000 they will think you can also afford to have an animal as they are not cheap to take care of. Even in the US people that are trying to re home and animal ask for a fee as they want to make sure its going to someone who can financially accept the responsibility. Here if they offered the dog for free they would re sell it. My dog was taken and sold!

if it's legal in Qatar to trade in certain kinds of animals and the government allows it, and the seller abides by the legal parameters, then you should know better to keep your nosey attitude and emotions to yourself...

I bring Puppies from Thailand and sometimes sell them on QL... Not for the money, I don't need it. Its just a way for me to help find good home for puppies that are doomed in Thailand ... I usually charge barely enough to cover the cost of vaccination,Micro chip and transportation. I bring puppies very occasionally and i charge around 1000 riyals. I go thru the hassle of taking care or the puppies and the vet visit the airport papers and the transportation not mentioning the food and vitamins and cleaning all day until finding a home
