Qtel Internet Downtime?
Is anyone else experiencing downtime with their internet connection? Occasionaly my connection will kick out, and I have to reboot. This usually fixes it, but sometimes it's out for up to 8 hours, like today, where even a connection to the neighbour's unsecured WiFi would not allow me to access the internet.
A few friends are saying this is also happening to them. Does anyone know what is going on?
It's not a hardware/router problem, because it will be connected to the internet, but very occasionaly it will terminate itself and make me feel like putting my fist through the monitor.

I have been experiencing the same problem the last few days. (mosaic internet)
1) Signal Strength is weaker than before
2) Disconnects and reconnects back again.
3) Drop in the signal strength from time to time.
Theres a Qtel survey that is ongoing, and i complained about it at that time. No results yet.
ALso the mobile network, same issues. the calls keep on disconnecting if you talk longer for 10 minutes.
Yup, problems all day. Now just getting back on after a re-boot.

My connection went down at 11:30 this morning and has only come back up in the last few minutes[1].
I have been calling them on 111 all afternoon and every time I went to option 3 the voice-mail said all the operators were busy and promptly dropped the call. I do wonder if they had anyone on the line or if they just left the phone off the hook - maybe its a question for ICT to investigate.
Absolutely no grade of service from QHell (as usual).

[1] My modem could see the carrier from the other end but there were no ppp packets coming down the link.
What do you mean by username and password?
I just have my router WEP code, and my SSID, which I changed.
I've never had any issues with Q-Tel's internet. There was one time when I found my machine was disconnect for about 3 hrs while I wasn't at home. I did the following.
You might have to log in to your router config page, soft disconnect and then reconnect using your Q-Tel username and password.
