Train....a fastest way of transport

It has been observed that traffic in Doha is a very problem to commuters. Buses and taxis are there but its fare charge is quite expensive and you could be late going to your work because of the jam in the major road roundabouts. Is there a proposed project to put up a train trasportation system?

gadarene, its so sad if that future plan of train transit system would not cater to the majority of the population in this country. the qatar goverment should at least think the positive effects or benefits of that kind of transportation system.

@ reysaj, yes a "train transportation system" (sic!) plan is on the cards, unfortunately however it will not be in yours or mine lifetime & when it does come,it will connect the new international airport with west bay,a route of absolutely no use to you or me or the majority of this country's population...

Reysaj, i agree with you. Atleast on some important routes. Like Doha-New Airport, -Wakrah, -Masaeid, -Alkhor. But shouldnt be as expensive as Metro
