Safe to buy gold/ Diamond??
A full Diamond sets (Wedding/ Shabka) was donated to a charity taking care of a dialysis patient.
This set was purchased from Alsuliman Jewelry in the Gold Market and was priced ++154.000 QR!! and as a 21 Karat white gold and class one diamond.
We found its not 21K , but 18 Karat? And the diamonds are not the best quality , the set hardly worth 1/7th of its price??
Is there any way/where that this case should be raised to?

Last year I bought a 0.7 carat diamond ring from Al Suliman (Hyatt Plaza) but they didnt give me any certificate (just a lousy receipt with minimum details).
to add insult to injury, few months later, i found a full 1.0 carat much better designed ring in Dubai and bought it for QR.500 less that that of Al Suliman.
Dubai has more jewellers and competition between them made price more transparent. Plus they provided me with Full valuation certificate.
So, be careful when you buy here in Doha.
If u made a complaint .. surely there will be an action against the shop .. but make sure u have the bills to back ure statement

Since it was donated for charity, and the diamonds are not the best quality, just 18K instead of 21K and seeing how its just 1/7th the price that of which YOU have not paid for, my advice is you give the set to me and pretend this was all a bad nightmare.
