NOTICE PERIOD DURING RESIGNATION
i'm planning not to renew the contract from my company. i'm about to finish my 1st year here, and it says in my contract that if i don't give them a notice letter, it is automatically renewed. also according to my contract, the notice period must not be less than 60 days if i don't want to renew. let's say for example my 1-year contract ends in dec 31 2009, and i give them my written notice around october the same year, would that be considered 1 year completed term even if i specified in my letter that my final date would be the day my contract expires? is the two-months notice period included in my length of tenure with the company? clarifications please, thank you :)
and yeah, it also says in my contract that i'm entitled to paid vacation leave and airplane ticket to place of origin for every year completed. am i still entitled to those even if i just stayed for EXACTLY a year?
WOW, our company receptionist who got terminated a month ago was told she won't get her benefits because the probation period of 6 months is not included in her tenure at our company!!!!! and she was with us for a year. shrewd owners!
hope i can still cope up..its only my 5th month and really want to resign..
i don't mind not getting an NOC since i'm just going back home, no plans to work in other GCC countries. also contemplating on just leaving these bastards and not getting back haha but i want to do the formalities and just hand them my letter.
Just take your annual vacation and don't come back. In any case your company is not going to give you an NOC. So, better take your vacation or try to talk to your HR guys about your plan, for sure they will help you!
You already answered your questions. However, its always better to speak to your HR to validate the matter.
Or the other choice is to just go on vacation as normal and don't return.
In both cases, your RP will automatically cancelled and they will not issue you a NOC.
Good Luck!!
