Hi everyone! I'm quite new to Qatar and want to enquire regarding 'Wife Sponsorship'. Does this exist here?

yes, there ARE such things. But requirements are more strict than if the husband sponsors his wife. Every case is different. the woman has to be on the high management position or highly qualified on the government job (like let's say a doctor at Hammad Hospital), with the high salary.. also the nationality has some effect...

if you think your case is strong enough, apply and see.. no one can guarantee anything though..

..even for man, only 7000 salary is not enough to sponsor his wife. First, the BASIC salary should be MORE than 7000, second, again the position, the status, and such and such.... In each case the government decides individually either to grant this privilege or not…

women can sponsor their husbands still on the exceptional basis, but i know few gals who has their hubs under their sponsorship.. all of them are either doctors or top managers of the company...

For a husband to sponsor his wife, he would need a minimum salary of QR7000-QR8000; what about the vice-versa scenario??

First off, thanx for the prompt responses. To make my question clearer, I'm completely aware of father's/husband's sponsorship. That's been around for a quite some time here in Doha. But i guess wife sponsorship i.e. a wife sponsoring her husband is a relatively less-known concept here...is it prevalent here??

clear up your question , what do you want? are you a wife that wants to be under your husband's sponsorship? Or you are a husband who wants to sponsor his wife? or you are a wife who wants to sponsor your husband?? what's the case?

My friend got a visa thru her husband's employer here in Doha. He works for a luxury hotel chain so I'm not sure if it depends on the company or what...
